Pomegranate Wine Jelly Gastrique

*Crispy Duck Breast with a Pomegranate Wine Jelly Gastrique

Here's another use for Pomegranate Wine Jelly! Use it to make a tangy, tart, sweet glaze for a variety of meats and veggies.


  • 1/4 cup Red Wine Vinegar

  • 1/4 cup Pomegranate Wine (or other red wine)

  • 2 TBS Brown Sugar

  • 2 TBS Pomegranate Wine Jelly

  • *Optional YEP! Spice and/or Aleppo pepper to sprinkle


  • Combine the red wine vinegar and wine in a sauce pan. Reduce by half.

  • Add the brown sugar and jelly, reduce to a syrup.

  • Let cool and enjoy!

  • *If it gets too thick, just stir in some hot water until it's loose enough to drizzle.
